@amboyace First of all, what modern President other than Carter wasn't re-elected? Bush, Sr? You said nothing that disproved my point. Nixon was already President and "war Presidents" almost always get reelected, which neither Carter or Bush were when they were up. If Carter had started one with Iran, he probably would have been reelected. That's how dumb our country is. So if Nixon's bombing was a big deal, you answered your own question. LBJ was probably hurt more by the draft than the deaths.

Dude, again, if you watched the news at all, you saw what they did. He went from being the man most likely to take the Presidency to "Angry Dean" overnight. @TheGiantRobot OH, don't get me wrong. Dean's audio was isolated from the rest of the room sound and made it sound more pronounced. However, Dean didn't win ANY primaries, save his home state of Vermont, which was after he had already dropped out.  You have to win primaries to stay in races, TGR

@amboyace Bush tax cuts did not really help the poor and middle class and were targeted at the rich. And my i remind you on the campaign trail he said that he would absolutely not allow them to continue so. And for torture, Obama is only against tortue in public, in reality we still have the secret prisons and torture is stil rampant, it is still a major problem and a little research shows that it still occurs under his administration. It's like some of my progressive friends here think that Governors Walker, Snyder, Kasich & Scott were just fairy tales made up to scare children at night. No--they're real, and Republicans fall in line to vote for these folks, regardless. You have to take a defensive voting position at times in America, know what the opposition is running.

You should know what happened to Dean - the press killed him. Told everyone he was making angry screams at his celebratory rally, which was, of course, flat out false.

The DNC and the main stream media serve the same beast - Big money. Not their supposed constituents (customers and voters), but big advertisers, big corporations. They control who you get to vote for, who you get to know even exists. If you don't get that, explain to me why not.
