Dan Sindel performs J.S. BACH - Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring using the AXON Guitar-to-MIDI Controller and Godin Multiac ACS (13 pin MIDI enabled) Nylon String guitar

4 days on the "EZGTR Set" filming, editing and testing many of the 128 "built-in" General MIDI sounds that the 19" AXON's Guitar to MIDI Controller Soundboard offers was a lot of fun and we hope you enjoy the video.

  • Wonder what Walter/Wendy Carlos would think of this.... he/she took months to do the same thing one note at a time

  • Interesting question really. Switched on Bach is quite an achievement especially considering the era it was created in where synths and recording gear were much less sophisticated as today's technology.

Mike Oldfield is another great example of creating amazing music with his "Tubular Bells" recording sessions.

  • im looking for the roland gi20 for playing my computer sounds with my godin, but roland stop making it and now they only make expensive floorboards.

Does this unit work well between a godin and a computer??? have direct input for godin hexaphonic output????

i really need your help, thanks so much

  • There is a lot to learn and I would not (yet anyways) consider myself one to be a reputable source of knowledge in this area and would not want to steer you in the wrong direction.

You will find MIDI Gurus at the Axon site.

  • Ok, much thanks for the info Dan, i'll check out the forum for more info :)

  • 50 and 100 use same tech. 50 has no sounds you need PC or sound modules.

I suggest you read all about it at Axon's website, their forum is very good for answers, I have learned a bunch from reading some of the posts.

    :)

  • And another one, how's this compared to the AX 50 USB ? Are both using the same tech or AX 100 is much better ? I understand that AX 50 probably doesn't have built-in sounds..

  • Woah, maybe this is just what i'm looking for !! And it can be used with any hex pickup right ?

  • Latency is extremely low/next to nothing!!! Really the AXON is super fast with it's pick transient detection technology. it's AWESOME...

  • Nice one Dan ! How's the latency ?
