Merry Christmas everyone! Hope you all have a brilliant New Year as well. Showing my Japanese and other East Asian DVDs for a change. Sorry for such atrocious length.

  • Very nice, do you have any other non-anime/manga collections that we can expect to see videos on like music, posters/wallscrolls or video games?

  • @GinkoArtEtc Unfortunately not, haha. Anime, manga and films are pretty much the only vast collections I have (excluding things like clothes and old magazines). I have some video games, but I'm not much of a gamer and they'e all quite generic popular titles.

  • Nice. There are quite a few classic Japanese films available on DVD only in the UK (with English subtitles) that I had to import from across the pond, this is not so easy if you're familiar with current exchange rates. Movies like Profound Desire of the Gods/A Man Vanishes by Imamura, Funeral Parade of Roses by Matsumoto, Yurika by Aoyama, Humanity and Paper Balloons by Yamanaka and many others. I highly recommend these if you've not seen them, and feel lucky such movie are so available to you.

  • Dude your collection is sooo brutal. it makes me feel like i have yet to experience the pure awesomeness of cinema outside of the western world. I'll eventually get around to Kitano films and then work from there haha.

  • Good to see you making a video again! And Merry Christmas! Kikujiro is also my favorite Kitano movie. I just saw Zatoichi two days ago, and I was a bit dissapointed, maybe I was expecting too much. If u wanna watch some good dark samurai films, I can recommend the work of Hideo Gosha, I haven't seen his later movies, but his earlier movies are very good. Another good Kurosawa is Hidden Fortress. I will definitely check out some of the movies you recommended, thanks!
