Terrible. Do they have to catch a train or something? All Bach's beautiful melodic lines are flushed through in this childish competition of "who can play fastest"? The movement is 'allegro', not 'prestissimo'.

@hamballsario "Allegro" is certainly up for interpretation these days, as with Bach's final movement in his third Brandenburg concerto and numerous other works.

What did the emperor say to Mozart? "The human ear can hear only so many notes in a day"? or something like that. Well he should have said "the human ear can only hear so many notes per minute" Slow down next time and enjoy the music.

I listened to the first 20 seconds of the Largo and gave up, It made me more tense than calm.
