Watching Jaco videos crack me up. If it's a video of him with Weather Report everyone talks about how much groove he has and how great a bass player he was and how cool it was when he did x, y and z. If it's a video of him doing a solo it's always the same "this has no feeling" bullshit. And it seems to be the same for EVERY virtuoso player whose videos I watch. The guy keeping those tight ass basslines is the same dude doing those crazy harmonics-laden solos and to me it's all kinda cool.

first time I saw this entire concert, Peter Erskine took off his shirt. At first I thought he was wearing a sweater underneath. but oh no!!! he is hairy like great bear!
