All the effects in this video are produced using Kirsten Lee's viewer (version S20 build 43) exclusively. This means that there is absolutely no postprocessing, apart from stretching and adding titles.
I'm using the "Render Metadata" submenu of the "Develop" menu. To get to the "Develop" menu you can either force the "Advanced" menu to appear (Ctrl+Alt+D) and then select "Show Develop Menu", or simply press Ctrl+Alt+Q.
"Render Metadata" has the following options: "Bounding boxes", "Normals", "Octree", "Shadow Frusta", "Occlusion", "Render Batches", "Texture Anim", "Texture Priority", "Texture Area", "Face Area", "Lights", "Collision Skeleton" and "Raycast". Some of these produce very cool visual effects, which can be used creatively when taking snapshots and filming for machinima.
I don't use viewer 2.0, and therefore I can't comment on whether these options are also found there, and, in case they can, where are they located.
Music is "Gammachains", by Torley, from his Dream Journal 2.

@fuzonacid You're too kind :-) I'm happy that my work is food for thought for you, I only try to 1) have fun, and 2) inform my fellow virtuals about what is possible today with a bleeding edge machine and viewer. My ego tells me that I should wave to you, so here comes: *me waves* :-)
