Video of the 52 Key Gasparini French Fairground Organ, the "GYPSY QUEEN". The video is introduced by Mr. Jim Welty, owner of the Gypsy Queen at the time. Thanks to Mr. Welty for all his help over the years. This is a very old organ and is the most famous Gasparini in the United States. This organ was purchased and restored by Paul Eakins in the 1960's. It was then sold to Bellm's Car's and Music of Yesteryear Museum in the mid 1970's and then to a private collector in the early 2000's.

  • I sold the organ thru a well known broker and the buyers information was not disclosed----other than the organ went to "a good home".

  • @JimfromOH If I had the money, I would have bought her!!!

  • Where is this?

  • This video was in Ohio..The organ is currently is Las Vegas.

  • @kazombie Where in las vegas?

  • Not exactly sure. I heard an owner of a Casino had bought it. I will try to find out.

  • I don't know where it's at. The seller didn't even know where it was going in Las Vegas :(

  • @kazombie I heard in a MBSI convention promo there is a prestigious collection their, thou the name escapes me, maybe she's there.

  • I've got a 33-1/2rpm vinyl record which has recordings from this Gasparini. The records has surprisingly high clarity for how old and poorly treated it was before I received it, but something tells me that it pales in comparison to hearing a live rendition. probably the same difference between hearing a recording of a steam engine and hearing one in person.

  • Chris---If I had a climate controled building I would have kept her. I could not see spending all that time restoring her and then not keeping her in the best possible conditions. I still regret it frequently----but it was the right thing to do.

  • jim welty ( jimfromoh on youtube ) owns this, He built a decap organ too!

  • Just a tad out of tune there...

  • @kazombie I have been in las vegas, the name sounds familiar but I don't know where it was , I think LUXOR or EXCALIBAR

  • @kazombie Ex calibur, circus circus or egypt pyramid.
