If the Koran is the word of God why is it only revealed in Arabic? Surely, if your god is almighty, he can provide a message that would not be corrupted in translation. So, if a global Muslim state is desired why does your god choose a language that is so limited that the number of books translated into it, each year, could fit in my wardrobe.
Please don't tell me it's to test us or that only Arabic is suitable for godly missives.

I don't know if I got you right or not. The fact that I know is the Qur'an is revealed in Arabic language to prophet Muhammad (pbuh), even the oldest manuscript (1400 years ago) for the Qur'an we have is written in Arabic (I've an electronic version of it BTW).
I can understand that the Qur'an has many translations in different languages but the revelation of Qur'an was in Arabic.

But can't we say that the Arabic language itself is the one which was affected by other languages? so one can say that Qur'an is written in Arabic only?
Allah mentioned this fact in the holy Qur'an, in surat Yusuf:
12:2 "Indeed, We have sent it down as an Arabic Qur'an that you might understand."
