  • @rushman819 Use Lye instead of Baking Soda or salt Water. Lye is a corrosive alkaline substance, commonly sodium hydroxide (NaOH, also known as 'caustic soda')

The plates should be wired with a neutral plate in between each pos and neg plate, and you don´t need to wire the neutral.you´ll double the effect with the same amp.

The more lye u use, the more amps.is used, - and heat created.

I haven´t build one myself yet, but my thoughts are made up.

    Good luck

  • Nice video. I'm an engineer in New Zealand, can't believe you cut them all out by hand, fuck that, talk about make life hard for yourself. Next time take your template to a laser cutter / plate cutter. It would be cheaper than buying kick plates (they will have the material you need) and no blisters.

  • (same thing as your setup, but smaller) by the way yours is really nice :P

  • Ok hear this out..!! i made my self a small setup with a pressure gauge a pvc container and some valves, My idea is to make pressure built up so ican use the gas... thing is my 15 plate are +-+-+-+-+-+-+-+- it works out but my fucking copper wire heat up right away, i know basic that resistance cause heat to built up, there is no shorts the plates are separated with 1/8 rubber shim and the plates does not touch togeter..! car batterie or controlled amp by charger the freaking wire gets hot.??

  • no salt is obvius, but the reason why seems to elude ppl

salt desolves into various elements when used in electrolises

the bad element is chlorine and chlorine eats the chromium in stainless steel

unfortionately in many countries thers also chlorine in tapwater.

    so don't use it

    insted use potasium hydroxide (KOH)

this does not get used up in electrolises and can't get chlorine into the solution since thers none in there.

it only gets the proses going by making the water conduct better

  • Why would that be called a "series setup"? Electrically the plates have parallel connection to each other how you've connected them.

  • Is there another electric connection and do you use a pwm?

  • have you have any issues with the water getting too hot too quick?

  • Is this going to be a dry or wet cell James Looks good

  • Have you come up with any LPM yet?

What amps &volts do you supply it with?

If you had some neutrals in it , wouldn't it help?

Have you any schematics of it available?

Do you think there could be a way to collect hh separately from o ?
