A safe learning environment is every child's right! For 17 year-old Dashenee Huthamaputhiran, the Safe Schools program in her school was valuable because she learned about the different forms of physical and psychological bullying, as well as how to manage bullying incidences between students in her role as Head Prefect. The Safe Schools program is an ongoing initiative by UNICEF Malaysia, in collaboration with Malaysia's Ministry of Education and HELP University College. Guided by the Convention on the Rights of the Child, UNICEF is working to ensure that every child like Dashenee can learn free of fear and violence.
