Set in 2012, exactly 666 years after Bubonic Plague wiped out half the world's population, Grim Reaper is an epic tale that truly tests the reader's belief system when a man-made version of the Black Death is unleashed in Manhattan. Would you destroy a city of 3 million to save 6 billion? Alten's tour-de-force forces one to realize that no snowflake in an avalanche is ever innocent, and that good and evil serve a greater purpose. While Dante's Nine Circles of Hell provide for a deliciously horrific narrative, there is far more to this hero's journey, and the reader will be spellbound by their own conclusions. Grim Reaper is both the Trick and the Treat; an unusual balance between entertainment and spectacle.
Music: "Death on Two Legs" by Queen playing to Steve Alten's Grim Reaper Book Trailer.
As usual this work of literature, as all of steve altens work, is nothing short of "Bad assery" Not only does this book present a very real catastrophic scenario but it forces us, the reader, to truly view ourselves in ways that could only bring about positive change. Steve Alten, as he has done in the past, gives real world facts about the nefarious and dangerous activities that our government and others have been secretly conducting throughout our countries history. Buy and read this book!!!!!
