GRADY-All Canadian Band (Delta Metal, Rock'N Blues) Gordie Johnson, BigBen Richardson & Nina Singh @ The Sound Of Music Festival (OLG Stage) Spencer Smith Park, Burlington, Ontario CANADA 06.15.08
I loved Big Sugar but Grady is just so awesome, it's amazing that Gordie Johnson (is he 40 now?) decided to play way faster heavier stuff for his new band. I've seen Grady twice and look forward to many more ear-blasting shows. He has more energy than most musicians half his age and puts most "rock" to shame.
What I love about the Grady version of this song is that it just kicks you in the balls. The Big Sugar version is just as great, but they really do sound like two completely different songs. I'm just glad that Gordie ended Big Sugar, because they were just getting too radio friendly, did too much reggae crap, and stopped kicking my ass after 500 Pounds (in my top 5 records of all time). Live on Grady!!!!
can't beat that energy of 500 pounds !!!
And wild ox moan was great to!
