I think it is a parody of Antmusic by Adam and the Ants, which came out a few years earlier in 1980. Not only are the Toy Dolls using at least two drummers, but they are wearing staindrop cavalry jackets, as did Adam Ant.

Gary Glitter also used two drums. So does traditional Japanese festival music. I would like to hear more.
