  • A good example of solid-solid diffussion would be the Steel, the Steel is an alloy consisting mostly of iron, with a carbon, and yes,like you mentioned, the temperature affects the process of diffussion.

  • Yes, I understood. Thank you. I will show your model to my 7th grade life science students next week. My mistake was that I kept trying to think of a solid into solid diffusion. For example, when a meteor strikes a planet, is there solid into solid diffusion? Or would one metal diffuse into another, or one rock into another, only after heating and liquifying?
