i like the shiny/glossy finish with the chrome in the fronton the PS3 better. the xbox is just white and gray with a boring mat(don't know if it's matt or mat) finish.

@marcuslaughton um yes, you do for the PS3, you can use any laptop sized hard drive, for the 360 the hard drive is proprietary.
