I was a Humvee mechanic my last year at the army

so i can tell you it is one crazy ass piece of machine!

the only things that can follow it or even go through where he cant is a Defender, yes! a land rover. we had both of these here. i like the hummer as a pick up too but mostly in its 4 door-open back version. its the one i like the most! =)

@siedpe13 kinda wrong there u can ford in a stock hummer and they have self inflating tires the are the same base vehical as humvee just with added luxuries

@siedpe13 you must be a marine, because our M114s didn't have the fording kits... just so much fucking armor that we tanked radiators every 5 missions. But it was definitely worth the A/C =) Either way, nothing beats the top speed of a old m998. soft doors with a man made turret. tire strapped up to the infantry rails a piss pole as a turret . 240b on top. SPEEDING OUR ASS OFF back and forth between Ramadii and Fallujah. M998 was the way to go. Silent and deadly for multilateral HVT raids.
