@holidaytracker It all depends on how it's programmed. The slow whoop, message, and whether the message plays once between rounds of the alarm sound, etc are all aspects that can be chosen when the contractors have them install it.
@modawg8k That is the one of the Simplex slow whoop sounds there are two different versions this one and another which I personally think is the one that actually deserves to be called slow whoop. If you look at the video Evanston public library fire alarm you'll hear the difference
@mike2moto All fire alarm systems are tied into the Sprinkler system if the water pressure drops below a preset point it trips the alarm and when the FD or maintence looks at the panel it will display whatever was programmed to indicate low sprinnkler water pressure also there is a timer switch that usually waits 90 seconds when the sprinklers do go off to make sure the sudden increase in pressure ins't just due to a water surge in the lines.
My high school had this system except with red TrueAlert speaker/strobes and the voice evac clip was played 3 times after the whoop then the slow whoop continue until silenced. The panel was a Simplex 4100U

I'd say more like a fast whoop

Also you can tell by the brand of the panel. Simplex makes most of all voice evac panels are made from them.

Generally there will be a microphone which looks like a CB's mic. Sometimes there will be a telephone also.
