@fulesmackofule it depends on what you want it to do and what you want to shoot. the 50mm F1.8 is a good place to start for a fast lens as its cheap and give great quality. Good for portraits as well. 50mm (80mm field of view) gets a little tight indoors/small spaces which is why i purchased the 35mm.. but i started with the 50 f1.8 and so far its my most used lens.
@rickjbradbury Thank you! We'll have a baby coming soon, this is why I plan to invest into some decent portrait lens. I think I'll go for the 50mm so I can use that later on a full frame body as well. Thanks again!
BLS :)
Which one do you advise for a T3i which has a 1.6x crop? 35mm?
Thanks!
