Way back in 1992, Angela Lansbury starred in this charming TV movie, along with Omar Sharif and Diana Rigg. Mrs. Arris is a charwoman, who sees a Dior dress in the home of her employer and decides she's going to have one, too. She works three years to earn the money to be able to buy the dress, then goes to Paris to purchase it.

A charwoman at the House of Dior sticks out like a sore thumb, but Mrs. 'Arris inherent charm and likeability makes her many friends...but one enemy.

[Sorry about the quality of the video...but it's better than nothing!]

  • Many thanks for posting this; it's almost impossible to find anywhere else!

  • @iqeret HI. You're very welcome. But actually, it is available at Amazon.com - but only on VHS. And a VHS copy would be a lot more pristine than this version. But I did want to share it here, as it is so heart warming, and Angela does such a good job in it. Take *that*, Monsiuer le Directeur!!
