Having lost several children at or before birth, I can testify to the importance of holding the dead child and acknowledging it as a real member of the family in order to grieve and get some closure. After getting your children ready for the arrival of a new sibling you cannot simply act as if nothing happened. Colmes's attack is not only profoundly vile and immoral, it is also based on pure stupidity and ignorance. What a complete scum this behavior reveals his character to be.

Listen, I know its a shame the guy had this tragic loss, and my heart goes out to him/his family for their loss, but that is some pretty weird shit ! I do think he (ie;Colmes) should have stuck to challenging whatever Santorum's positions statements were. But if this thing is true, it is a little strange/weird.

Yes, I think Alan Colmes should be fired. This is hard to watch; Colmes' statement just sickens me. Another ridiculous part of this is that Colmes is actually offended because he was interrupted even though he was interrupted due to his twisted comments about how a couple grieves over their dead child.
