J.S.Bach hat einfach geniale Musik geschrieben. Gespielt auf einer Silbermannorgel läuft es mir eiskalt den Rücken runter. Bach bewegt meine Seele.

@steppin This organ was not destroyed during the war, so that it is not a rebuilt one. It is original. During the war, it was removed from the cathedral fearing air raids. The organ was brought to a safe place and survived both air raids and the Russian invasion. After the war, it was built into the repaired cathedral again.
Phaare is right: the organ of the Frauenkirche is a new one. As a good example of an extraordinarily impressive contemporary organ, there is the organ of the Kreuzkirche.

@steppin Completely wrong. During the bombings the organ was stored outside of dresden and installed in the church again in the 60s. The firm Jehmlich from Dresden restored it some years ago.
