To speak fluently, you need to assimilate the structures and vocabulary that you have been studying, and work on your pronunciation. You can do this by listening to 'model' sentences and repeating them out loud. If you find that there are many structures and vocabulary that you know passively but can’t use actively, the Premium Plus Membership of the Anglo-Link website can be useful for you, as it allows you to listen to and repeat all the structures and many common daily expressions.

Yes, what you describe is a good way of improving your listening skills. Also, be selective in what you watch. Start with films with slow and clear dialogue, or start with YouTube videos where you listen to one person talking about a subject that you are familiar with.
