connors didn;t play between 92-96. he just played the 1 tournament in atlanta where he lost in the first round to richie reneberg 6-2 in teh third. also, Martina Navratilova turned pro in 1973 and played until 2006.

Connors avait transporteur sensationnelle ... qui jouerait ce type de cours de tennis à 40 ans aujourd'hui?

Stitch was an excellent player and he was at his peak here (while obviously being a way better player on grass than on clay) . Connors managed to barely lose the first set and winning the next two ones, he was obviously too tired for the last two as stated by the commentators and they were right, it was his last French Open.

Are you Mister Fleetsa?

connors is probably the player who played the professional sports the longest out of anyone. What, he turned pro in 1972, played grand slams until 1992, and kept playing on the men's professional tour until 1996. At that age what he did is incredible. No one will match him in longevity, not even agassi or even FEderer...

fue su ultimo año cn continuidad, el ultimo en realidad fue el 1996 por que ahi jugo su ultimo torneo

Jimmy Connors was a great old war horse, there's no way any of todays players would play till their 40 years old.
Jimbo was almost 40 at this time. Since then not a single player was able to play such a high level of tennis at that age, and probably in the future nobody could match him either.

he wasn't too tired. No way Connors would retire cause he was tired. His back went out again, just like it did against chang in the previous year.
