My father used to sing this song to me when I was 4 years old. Sweet memories! Today - 57 years later- my father has died and I will play this song on his funeral to honour him. Thanks for posting!

I remember this song very well and thought Eddie was a great singer. I wish I had known my father but from what I have heard he was a drunk and let his large family go hungry. Thank God we all had a supportive mother. Because of him I have tried to be the best father possible to my 4 kids. Wherever you are dad I wish you well.
