I love classical music and mostly listen to great European masters.
I just found this clip and repeated it at least 5 times so far, this is out of this world. I don't see why European classical music and Persian classical music can't be both great and beautiful. There is no contradiction here.

kafa boro tu Karesh............
The place is not Losangeles, it's Tehran, The salon of Literature faculty of Tehran University. After ASATID tours, when Mr. Alizadeh came back to Iran, a TAR festival perfumed in Tehran for young player called JASHNVAREH TAR NAVAZAN. It is the final of festival. At first the winners played their pieces and then a group of Alizadeh's students played "BIA TA GOL BARAFSHANIM" and then Alizadeh went on scene and performed an improvisation based the last songs that all heard.

That is true. I wanted to put the ensemble playing "Byaa taa gol br afshaanim", but I haven't had the time. I will post it soon (hopefully).
