my stock '86 celica (without turbo) has that acceleration. and it's a 4 speed automatic.

She is Japan import and they have law that cars are limited for 200 km/h.. So if you pass 200 engine stop to get petrol for while until you drop down under 200. It is possible remove that blocking simply but for me is 200 enought.
Engine is original just airfilter is sport one (and exhaust :)
