Nepalese children trapped in Indian circuses

This video gives the background to the work of UK children's charity The Esther Benjamins Trust (www.ebtrust.org.uk) with Nepalese children who have been trafficked to become "performers" inside Indian circuses. Instead they experience a life of abuse and exploitation, trapped for years at a time. The Trust was the first to identify and research this problem and is now working with its local partners to end this modern day child slavery.

Not true. Many of the children who end up in circuses are step children and not wanted in new relationships. Sadly that is a reality and in families where alcohol abuse is commonplace step children get trafficked for the price of a bottle of whiskey.
