DuVall does a great job here.  Of course he's not as good as Layne, but only Layne could be as good as Layne.

Layne was defenetly much bether, but he died, tough shit. This guy is pretty great and I love the last album, it still has that Alice in Chains feeling like the past albums.

I've seen these guys in Lubbock in 2006. It was a good show but I heard a rumor that Jerry Cantrell had a meltdown during the show. Does anybody remember that besides me??

I'm not saying DuVall is a bad singer --- I'm just saying that surely they could have gotten a better singer if they'd actually tried harder. The verses sound like a Vegas lounge singer and he could have done a better job with it if he'd tried to sing it like a friggin' Rock singer. He also gets a little pitchy at times here. He doesn't have the growl/emotion in his voice that Layne did. Also wondering why Jerry isn't doing the "ooh" part with him unless his vocal range was/has gone.
