$10,000 is pocket change,i know it was just an example figure. I know what goes on behind the scenes,thanks, as i model myself. While i'm not a high fashion model, the routines are basically the same.

My point was that so much photoshopping (as in the video) would not technically be the amount done for a true model. You changed the person's look completely, for a model, it's used to enhance and perfect. When shooting with a professional photographer, they aim to get the best photo BEFORE retouching.

eugenetyson, i don't disagree with what you are saying but if a company has 2 girls to decide from and one requires more photoshopping done to her photos, which one do you think they will pick? The girl that will still get the job done and will cost less to print.

this 'transformation' is amazing yes, but models these days have to rely on that natural beauty more than what they can photoshop out. It costs a company up to $10,000 to photoshop a full shooting, and more. It's too expensive and takes up precious time. Models that require as much retouching as this photo did, realistically won't have many contracts/shoots.

I disagree. I know for a fact that every magazine cover, every model, every person that is on promotional material is heavily photoshopped before going to print. And they have experts for this. I don't know where you get your information regards the price and I don't know if that's correct. But model shoots get the hair and make-up done and then they get photoshopped and then it gets printed. Some are even rotoscoped for video shoots.

So there's a lot more going on behind the scene. And I'm sure that $10,000 would be a drop in the ocean for mega companies, like DOVE, as they make one thousand times that amount on sales.
