In this video it shows you what you can do to help speed up Firefox. Obviously there can be other ways of doing this, but here is one way you can go about doing so.

1. Open up Firefox
2. Type in the URL bar: about:config
3. Press Enter
4. In the search box, type: network (you don't have to press enter to search)
5. Scroll down until you see: network.http.pipelining
6. Double click this and set the value to "true"
7. Now, find: network.http.pipelining.maxrequests
8. Double click this and change the value to "50" or "100"
9. Now find: network.http.proxy.pipelining
10. Double click this to set the value to "true"
11. Right click anywhere
12. Hove your mouse over "New"
13. Choose Integer
14. Type the following: nglayout.initialpaint.delay
15. Set the value to "0"

Close out of Firefox. Make sure it is closed out of in the Task Manager as well. Re-open it and it should be running faster :)
