@anonymousent I think the boo's are because their music sounded too comical and white. Hip Hoppers didn't take to it very well then, but the Beasties earned respect by showing how dope their rapping really is in later albums. Gotta start somehwere.

@romski4u WTF are you talking about??? They change their style pretty much every album. That's how they've been able to stay relevant for 25 years.
The Beastie's were with Def Jam before the movie. Their single "Rock Hard" was the second single from Def Jam in '84.
