How can sensory awareness know pure consciousness? What might awareness see? The fact is, sensory awareness cannot behold pure consciousness or pure Mind. So awareness is the problem. It must and can neutralize itself and the sensory veil it depends upon thus making all void/inane. Only then is consciousness beheld which is a self-beholding independent of awareness. Consciousness is absolute substance, the most primordial - our true Self or atman.

Hang on all very complex, perhaps simplification and God consciousnes is being moustache less. Or just wordless.

u have to admit, it's hard to sell meditation to america because we're so so used to ascribing mysitcal states to superstition and psychic baloney..also, even though meditation obviously would provide a cleaner, more logical and altogether better feeling of 'high' than any physical drug, being able to achieve that high of awareness through meditation takes, well, effort, something most 21st century people like to avoid, instead opting for the quick but fleeting drug high..just saying

...That's it? Meditation is metacognition? Seems a bit misleading.

@gariji1 You are absolutely right. Still the best solution to all problems is one that in today's world is almost impossible...at least from my perspective anyway. That is total escape. Escape from distractions such as people, work, media everything that distracts your concentration and then make the attempt to TRULY isolate yourself for a substantial amount of time. Something like those monks do when they retreat in the wilderness and really get down to some real meditating. Shalom

@MrAssbaron Sure, and you live on credit... for awhile. But eventualy you have to pay for squeezing your nervous system by exterior means. You come down, and the suffering not worth it. Believe me, in the long run you pay for everything. Plus (sure its a lot of work) but meditation and stuff that gets you MUCH higher, clearer and in synch with collective reality.

@rogkeista Interesting that you can be so sure about someone in under seventy seconds of video. Or could it be your own projection???? I have worked with/known Andrew Cohen for 23 years, and let me say my own impression is utterly the opposite.
