@TheThunderfalcon Uh yea there is alot of cosplay in harajuku...but not just cosplay of anime but alot of people will cosplay as famous japanese visual kei band members as well. Also some people will wear dress from a fashion called lolita in which it has sub divisions of sweet lolita, gothic lolita, and more. Some just hav a punk style. If it is a guy dressing up ( which there is way more girls than guys ) they might be cross dressing as many vk artists do.

No. The person with the super puffy skirt was doing Toshiya from Dir en grey. Toshiya is a dude and that was a dude.

Almost all the cosplayers are women. Guys hang out and guys photograph but they do not dress up unless they are doing a band gig or something like that.
