Its too bad that dell and hp have copied the idea of the macbook air. both dell and hp have a notebook just like the air with no drive but the kicker is that there more expensive then the macbook air and have slower processors. hahahaahaha

its for people that want a portable machine, and its not really feature lacking, plus if you want a cd drive that bad just buy the superdrive

I use Mac, Pc, linux - only pointless nerds & weak minded geeks would choose one only and then fight others. And only pathetic haters who do nothing creative with their own lives, put down on innovation. Mac is is Star Trek tech, get with the program, and come and join us grown ups in the 21st century.

I will adment the mac does not get as many virus's as a pc it's just when somone says its "viruse proof" sounds too good to be true. I still perfer my cheap pc that does everything I need it to do(I work with maya). And if possable if you ever get another computer get it at green lype. In the last 3 years I havent be charged for repair fees and my warrontys covered everything. That and repair is often only one day. Also if you use a pc get AVG virus protection. Its the best I ever used.

lies lies lies, the worlds thinnest notebook was made in 2003, it is called the sony x505. not only is it thinner, but it weighs over a pound less.

The MACBOOK air is retarted. It has NO cd drive, is extremely feature lacking..... and who gives a crap that it weighs 2ibls.... my desktop cost half of the price of this crap and It is over 5x faster... and I can get a $500 laptop from another manufacturer that will be faster than this..... DUmb....
