@yoda2287 Actually the name was derived from the planet of Tyran where the Nids were first encountered by the Imperium as a full army (they had encountered Genestealers on the moons of Ymgarl before but it wasn't until Genestealers were spotted amongst Hive Fleet forces much later on that the connection was made).
