GAHANNA, Ohio (October 12, 2011) Ghosts, goblins and goodies all came out to Gahanna's Creekside Parks and Plaza for the city's 'Creepside' community event. The annual Halloween themed program is put on by the City of Gahanna's Department of Parks & Recreation. While 'Creepside' is a wonderful community building event that contributes to Gahanna's quality of life, it also provides local vendors, businesses and community organizations the opportunity to interact with the public and offer treats to residents both young and old.
Nearly 3,000 people attended and were treated to candy, three live music performers, a haunted trail, activities, 52 vendors and even a flash mob dance performed by the members of the Gahanna Senior Center.
"We had more than 50 volunteers that helped to make 'Creepside' happen," said Zachary Guthrie, parks specialist with the City of Gahanna. "We think that is a great thing and is something that we are really proud of."
'Creepside' is just one of the many events, festivals and activities held throughout the year in Gahanna's Creekside Park and Plaza.
