For this simple and elegant recipe you will need:

2lbs Dover Sole
2 large bunches of small to medium asparagus
6-8 cloves of garlic
1.5 juiced lemons
1/4 cup vermouth
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 tsp dill
1/4 cup heavy cream
6 Tbsp Oilve Oil

This is a very versatile recipe. So any delicately flavored vegetable can be used including red bell peppers or mushrooms to stuff your sole. If you don't like dill, rosemary or basil make great additions to the sauce.

  • This looks delicious! Thanks for sharing.

  • @kylewmcknight Thanks!

  • @quotidianlight As much as it seems to be dinner, I only eat my sweet potato around mid-day. I finally made this and it was super delicious. I cooked the sauce down to be thicker as you suggested to make good use of the juices instead of throwing them out. Since I don't like to eat carbs & fat together, I left the cream off the sweet potato to kind of balance things out.

I'm hosting Thanksgiving with a few visiting friends this week and think this will be the main dish.

  • @kylewmcknight If you tried this I do hope you liked it for t-day!

  • I think some people confuse "Paleo" and "Primal Blueprint" which is where the discrepancies between allowed foods comes into play.

    I prefer Primal. Good video!

  • @veriria Very good point but even among strict paleo there is disagreement and descent. The allowed and not allowed is variable and n=1 is an important idea that people new to paleo don't understand when they first start out.

  • @ksb100pr I encourage you to do STRICT paleo fir 30 days and during that time read Marks Sisson, Devany and Robb Wolf. Also read some of Cordain's newer updated articles and come to your own decisions and definitions. Paleo is a paradigm rather than a diet or universal set of rules. You have to find your own truth but you will. You already took the first step and that's the hardest part. Also, consider why are you doing paleo. That why will affect how YOUR paleo looks.

  • @ksb100pr Some paleo believe they shouldn't eat ANY neolithic foods, others believe you shouldn't eat Neolithic foods that contain anti-nutrients while still others believe they just shouldn't eat foods that make them sick. Regardless, Atkins and Paleo have significant differences. One focuses on Macro nutrient ratios and the other more on food quality. There are significant things to learn from them but even at the loosest they can be related but different. High carb paleo exists.

  • @ksb100pr The difference is that all people are different. What affects one may not affect another. My ancestors did not drink much cow milk and the majority of POC are lactose intolerant. My ancestors did and do drink goat milk though and goat dairy has no affect on me. In addition, raw milk has a different effect than pasteurized to the point that it may be medicinal. In my case, I allow some cream but not much and no cheese or dairy unless raw.

  • @ksb100pr it depends on who's version of the diet and your tested body reactions. Most allow alcohol like wine or whisky not beer or cocktails. Some allow cream or raw dairy some none at all. They all allow sea salt for cooking, not in process junk.
