What does the United States have in common with SOMALIA? The US and Somalia are the only two Countries that have not ratified the Convention on the Rights of the Child treaty.

My daughter arrives to an arranged supervised visit after being taken by her abusive father to live with him when she was less than than three years old, battered, covered in bruises and contusions, slap marks on her face, thats how she came to me to our first visit in 2005. I was told not to cry, it would make me appear weak and out of control. In the first pictures on the video, she does not know I am her mother, as the video progresses, she comes to realize that I am her MOMMY! It has now been two years since she was five that we have not seen each other. How can this happen in America?! This little girl is another reason that the United States needs to rarify the Convention on the Rights of the Child...NOW!!
Help save her and thousands like her trapped in a system that gives no voice to children that are suffering in the hands of the abusive parent, a system that punishes mothers for trying to escape abuse with their children. As health care is an issue, abuse and neglect of children is a national crisis in the United States of America, without immediate help to ratify the CRC, the child welfare system will remain a part of an axis of death and despair for the children of the United States. It's time for the U.S. to ratify the United Nations Convention on the rights of the child. Every child should be allowed to speak and be heard, especially if they say that someone has hurt them.Children urgently need to be heard in the U.S. They need a VOICE and a CHOICE as to what happens to them. Children are not property. Wherever you are Madison, if you find this, remember that I will never stop searching to get help for us. Distance is the only thing that separates us, our love is felt around the world. Distance is a wall that together we WILL tear down. Never stop believing in how much I love you...Just look up to the sky, the stars at night, feel me in your heart, I am near you Maddi. I know God will bring us together again.

If anyone recognizes or has seen Madison Elizabeth,if there was someone who lived in the home with Madison, please speak out. Contact me right away. Please, if there is a parent or child that knows about Madison, contact me right away. Call your nearest police department to report abuse.Write down the license plate number of the adult driving, what Madison was wearing, her condition, her location.

  • i agree that a child should have the right to speak out if they are being abuse and need to be heard but for the most part the us and somalia have not signed is due to the fact that they don't believe that children should be given so much freedom as the crc is wanting to give them..what happened in my case...my daughter was given to freedom and my family was almost destroyed due to that "freedom" of choice...

  • & not cps & my birth mother didn't get my children i have both of them the birth mother used my oldest daughter's mental illnesses and the fact that she is an out of control teen against my daughter's best interests and manipulated the system against me which my daughter's doctors states that happened and the doctor that they had me see...

  • mine & my husbands prayers go out 2 u & ur daughter but i must disagree with u & a victim of cps corruption & my birth mother who stopped at nothing 2 get my children fm me the uncrc is not in the best interest of any child to a point. the crc will allow children at any age to make choices for themselves that parents know are not in their best interest & if they don't like us saying no they can file charges on us at any time. it takes our rights as parents away more then what they are already.

  • I hope you and your daughter are united again. Sadly, the UN CRC would do more to increase the frequency of these scenarios than to help.

  • 3:19 - beautiful!! x

  • i hope the poor girl is found but what does the video have to do with somalia is the girl half somali?

  • @pnemosiene When exploitation and abuse are the option, a few guidelines can't be deemed socialist. What about the kids who are being trodden on every day of their lives?

  • What does this have to do with the socialist CRC? I don't care how cute this video is, the US doesn't want the UN's socialist family destructive CRC Treaty.
