  • Yes but it was fadal's first 2216 in 1996. It

    was built with "new features" at the time.I went to fadal's plant to purchase it.

  • I would never cut 316 without coolent

  • The Mitsubishi cutter I was using was purchased direct from mitsubishi. Their engineers suggested the feeds/speeds and when to and when Not to use coolant.Worked out fine on this end, no complaints.

  • Thank you for the comment sasalvadorinc. I have personally had good luck on dealing with Fadal. They have been there when I needed anything in regards to the machine. They sent 2 techs down to my shop when I bought this machine and set everything up, and they were from the factory floor not field techs. I had a board go out and a spindle bearing and they replaced both free of charge and that was 6 years after I bought it! So I would buy another fadal. Matt

  • I'm just getting my intro to CNC machining on one of these, I've got my journymans, but have always run manuals. any suggestions, or tricks I should be aware of?

  • Thats right... dry milling in a fadal...fadals are good machines... now the company is not that good busyness wise, but their machines gives a wonderful performance.
