@RafaelPReyes While I agree that the score is incredile I would never EVER say that Yeston's lyrics are any where near on par with Sondheim. As with all of Yeston's shows the lyrics are the one thing that drags the show down from becoming a classic in musical theatre and making it a flash in the pan. The lyrics are cheesy and not realistic. Some songs are better than others but over all thay kinda suck. In both this show and his Phantom they had the same problems. He needed a lyricist.

A local high school put this show on maybe like 5 years ago.And with the storyline and great cast I felt like I was at a broadway show

Ugh bring this back now! It's an amazing show. They always get rid of the best shows with the best scores! :(

That electric bass sounds like shit! What's the matter? Couldn't afford a good Bass Trombone?! Best musical I've ever played by the way! :D
Maury Yeston's lyrics to Titanic were always Sondheim-stupendous. This shows (for those who don't understand the language) the music was too. Titanic must be one of the most underrated Broadway scores. I think it was one of the best of the last 15 years.

actually they didn't add any extra notes to "fit the language". This is one of my favorite scores of all time, and all they did was make a translation that fit into the score.
The reason it sounds better in english is because that is what you are used to hearing.
