@oaklandlatinosunited so may I ask..., when several heroes of the La Raza movement Tijerina, Chavez, etc did not like to associate themselves as chicanos, why do you keep the term going?

I dont think u understand it. it said that the Mexicans that owned land could keep it and they would be recognized as US citizens. the "big fuss" is the Us government forced the Mexicans (our parents and grandparents) off the land illegally. Tijerina was trying to bring it to the attention of the "proper authorities".

i have pictures of reies tijerina in oakland with brown berets and bobby seale of the black panthers he was a true hero of la raza in aztlan .. i;m a proud chicano from east oakland califaztlan ....
