Sleep Out Louie's has been razed? I was there a few years back--saw a band there called the C.R.O.W.D. I saw somebody mentioned Wiedemann in the comments down below. I remember an old ad for Wiedemann that had a riverboat in it and this jingle: "Wiedemann, Wiedemann Beer/Satisfies a thirst, monumental and sincere." I always thought calling a beer sincere was a bit much.
The exteriors and main interiors were shot down on 2nd street at a bar called Sleep Out Louie's. The building has since been raised. The Rising Moon Cafe sign in the window was painted on a large sheet of acetate and affixed to the inside of the window. The insert shots that I appeared in were shot in a building on short Vine in Clifton. There was a short lived three screen cinema in there at the time called The Roxy, Ritz & Bijou. It actually had a bar area and we shot there.
No. In fact we were forbidden to indulge. Back then the FCC rules said you could hold a beer in your hand but you weren't allowed to show anyone actually drinking it. We had a bucket next to us that we poured the beer in when it started going flat. They would then pour us a fresh one for additional takes.
Got any footage of that big Pluto painted on the side of the brewery in the 80's?

I remember the "Happy Hudy Time" Jingle (Done to Howdy-Doody) especially at Reds Games in the 70's
