  • Pharmacists should have the choice of not filling Rx whenever they believe risks outweigh the benefits.

Ex1: a Rx to treat amenorrhea using progestins & the pharmacy has the supply then the pharmacist should fill it.

Ex2: A woman w/ a certain disease that requires her to take the infertility meds while taking the teratogenic med, then result = that of Ex1

Ex3: A woman wants (not "needs") to take the infertility meds just for contraceptive purposes, then the pharmacist should have the choice.

  • When the pill arrived in 1960, one in 25 American women got breast cancer. When abortion was made allowable in 1973, it had rose catastrophically to one in 15. Now it is one in 8. Look no further than ghouls like this who have never met a cancer causing steroid nor chemical abortion they didn't love.

  • Freedom of religion is the point. If you want your child to be made to pray in school, you send them to a religious school. If a pharmacy wants to honor a pharmacist's religion over their professional duty to the public, then that pharmacy needs to ADVERTISE as such. With emergency contraception, timing is of essence. Every pharmacy that refuses to fill decreases the effectiveness of the medication. This defeats the exact purpose of a pharmacy.

  • A prescription that "cures homosexuality" is as feasible as a prescription that would cure your naivety.

  • "Pro-choice" people are the biggest hypocrites in the world. If they are truly pro-choice as they claim to be, they would respect the "choice" of the pharmacist or the pharmacy not to fill a prescription. How about we force pharmacist to fill a prescription that cures homosexuality, you'd probably reverse your stance and thus, you all would be hypocrites. The UnAmerican Civil Liberties Union is a bunch of hate-filled liars with a racist agenda to eliminate minorities.

  • Pharmacist are not government workers, they should not be forced by the government to do things they think are wrong. What happened to freedom of religion? This is just one of many trends occuring in our country...the slow trend toward communism.

Let all the pro-choice people support other pharmacies or go to school and open up their own store. This is America, and America means choice-shop where you want!

  • "I will maintain the utmost respect for human life from the time of conception; even under threat, I will not use my medical knowledge contrary to the laws of humanity.. Similarly, I will not give to a woman an abortive remedy. I will...do no harm."

Hippocratic Oath/Geneva Convention/Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

  • These are cancer causing steroids that can and do kill mothers and children alike. Then they are flushed into our rivers and streams and deform the fish! That's why these poisons are often vomited up. Your body knows better!

Pharmacists who refuse to peddle these steroids are heros. THEY are the ones protecting the health of mothers and their children, not profitting from their destruction. Human rights begins with human life.

  • Thanks ACLU! We're so lucky to have Lorie Chaiten and the reproductive rights project standing up for women in Illinois.
