They have not yet covered the entire country and have used extremely conservative methods (if there is evidence of grave robbing, the number of bodies is recorded as “zero”).

@gagaarden No more than half of those killed by the Khmer Rouge were executed, the other half having being starved to death by state-created famine or having died unnecessarily due to brutal enslavement and deprivation by the state. Therefore, it seems that the original Cambodian government estimate, the UN estimate, and the conclusion of the UNICEF study, that 3 million had been killed in 3 years by the Khmer Rouge, was accurate. That was almost half the population.

Chomsky denied the Cambodian genocide(and still does to this day.) In 1977 he accused the media of spreading "tales of communist atrocities." He went around telling people not to listen to the refugees from Cambodia because "they couldn't be trusted." Read the article he wrote for the Z magazine in 1977. He praises Hildebrand and Porter's book who praised the Kmer Rouge, and didn't say one bad thing about them. C called their book "reliable from a broad rang of sources." C is full of shit.

One of Noams main problems is that he naively allows himself to be a propaganda microphone for some of the worse terrorists around the world. For instance,he met with Hassana Nasralleh from Hezbollah and then came back and did all these interviews talking about how Hezbollah is happy with whatever the people want,even if it s a two state solution. Then Nasrallah goes and attacks the elected Palastinian Government for trying to disarm them to get rid of papmilitary groups in the country.
