@MrSFblack yeah. in the end it was co written. but at first... jump in the fire was all dave. lyrics/music. same with mechanix, metallica changed the lyrics of jump and the tempo/lyrics of mechanix
@thrasherlml when the rest of metallica added their own parts to the songs, they become co-written.thats how it works,so everyone gets their credit & those songs are now considered metallica songs like dave wanted when he was in the band.
haha for awhile i stopped looking at youtube comments. ive been doing this for quite some time. i figured "hmmm... maybe everyones done with the annoying megadeth vs. metallica shit.", so i decided to skim throught the comments on this vid. a few words i found: Dave Mustaine, kill em all, co wrote, metallica, booted out, four songs. at that point i quit skimming. but anyways, this song rules!!! wish they wouldve recorded it for bbb. FUCKING EXODUS!!!!
@redisfire36 dave contributed to four songs on kill em all n two on ride the lightning,i wouldn't consider that an assload lol.he was credited cuz those songs were riffs written by him,the rest of the songs on kill em all he had nothing to do with n metallica had kirk change whatever solos he left behind.
@daniel245 dave co wrote jump in the fire, phantom lord, metal militia,n the four horseman(then called mechanix).so i wouldn't call four songs out of ten half the album.
@redisfire36 no hugh tanner wrote it , dave wrote most kill em all but not hit the lights he even says it in an 1984 interview , that therese this guy who wrote hit the lights and never got credit for it
I believe Dave wrote only like 4 songs on Kill em all and 2 on Ride the lightning. Which would make since cause he was in the band at those times. Seek and Destroy, Hit the Lights, Motorbreath, Whiplash, No Remorse all Hetfield.
I'm sorry man, but you don't know what you're talking about. Dave does deserve credit for their overall sound and style on Kill Em All, and he wrote a FEW things off of Ride The Lightning (not full songs necessarily, but riffs here and there). Master Of Puppets and ...And Justice For All were all Metallica (despite Dave's claims of inventing the Spider chord). I don't wanna start a fight. I mean, metalheads should unite, save the bashing for Brokencyde fans lol
Most of it, and no I'm not talking a load of crap. It is almost all their stuff but some of the riff were ripped. I'm not talking bad about them, and don't yell at me I even said at the beginning of that comment that I don't know if I'm being dumb or not.
Idk if this is retarded or not but it seems like Metallica just can't wright their own shit. Kill 'Em All was all written by Dave and RIde the Lightning seems to be mostly stuff Kirk wrote for Exodus, and Master of Puppets is just stuff they ripped from Dave and Exodus.

I think they deserve more credit than they get on those albums, but oh well. I think we can both agree that Bonded By Blood is a thrashterpiece haha

That's what I was saying, I was just saying that their first two albums they didn't really write much of the riffs just the lyrics.
