Each year, Bill Wilson Center creates a short video for our Building Dreams luncheon. Each video highlight clients that have made a dramatic change for the better in their lives with the help of Bill Wilson Center services. Our 2010 Building Dreams video follows two former Drop-In Center clients into downtown San Jose where they show us places they slept while living on the streets and share their stories with us.

* Jerry, a former foster youth, describes being raised in foster and group homes and his eventual aging out of the foster care system at age 18. With no where to go and little life experience preparing him life as an adult, Jerry ended homeless. With the help of the Bill Wilson Drop-In Center, Jerry was able to find a job and is now living on his own.

* Justin, who is now employed by Bill Wilson Center and is living with his wife and daughter, shares his story of being put up for adoption at age 10 because his mother could no longer care for him. Justin spent nearly 15 years living on the streets of San Jose, but is now a Street Outreach worker for Bill Wilson Center spreading the word about our Drop-In Center for homeless youth.
