J'en ai une du 13 mars 1980 : elle fait toujours son effet , en concert ! il y en a eu 75 en tout mais il y a des rééditions en 2007 et 2010 (250 ex)
Les micros Tim Shaw en moins évidemment ! elle est lourde , très lourde ! mais le son s'est patiné . Moins de gain que la Gibson ES 339 en classic 57 , mais quelle chaleur , et quel sustain inimitable (ça va un peu avec le poids ) ! Quand je prends ma Jackson ou ma strat j'ai l'impression de rien porter. Elles partent vite sur ebay aux states !

Can I ask a question? O.K. why do so many include 666 in their user name? Is it scary or just to show defiance to authority. Nothing personal, I'm just asking. I see a great many channels with 666 in their name. Is it an organized collective, or coincidental synchronicity?

My usual nickname from childhood is bongo, just bongo. It was already taken and I was obliged to add something I can remember easily because I'm usual to forget usernames, passwords and secrets questions answers...
666 is the number of the Best ... Am I wrong ? ;)

Il me semble bien que cette guitare m'est appartenue (sinon j'avais la même). En écoutant l'extrait vidéo je n'ai toujours pas de regret de l'avoir vendue (pas très cher en 1984.)

Tout les gouts sont dans la nature. Avec ses Tim Shaw et une finition impeccable, elle est très au dessus des CS recentes, bien que moins pêchue et moins moderne. Toutefois, vu la production inégale de l'époque, il est fort probable que celle ci soit au dessus du lot. De mon côté, c'est la meilleur Les Paul que j'ai joué, si l'on excepte les "The Paul" qui sont dans une toute autre gamme certes mais que je trouve bourrées de charme.

which one sounds fatter/heavier (considering only it's body and construction, not the pickups)?
the new one has maple neck too?

The new one got a little more high medium than the older. The old Silverburst are darker.
