  • There will NEVER be another Green hill tune EVER again. I'd go as far as to say this was the most poignant, nostalgic attack to the soul since ever. It's Incredible how this tune is poweful. It sold Sonic by itself. You just had to play the first level and listen to Green hill Zone and it was DONE! THE most memorable tune of Sega's history. It automatically reminds you of everything which was great about those golden days of our childhoods... A direct punch into all our collective hearts...

  • First Sonic game i ever played. brings tears to my eyes.

  • Remove this from the url (watch?v=y-78CMKME4o) -no brackets

And put this there instead. (/v/y-78CMKME4o&loop=1&autoplay=1) - no brackets

    Autorepeat.

  • @Gojiramonsta505 I've never played Sonic and this sounds absolutely... stellar.

  • As Seen On:

    Nostalgia

    Damn straight.

  • @102xxScorpionxx102 Videogames are image and sound, time and space put into a memorable social experience destined to stick into your soul like a sort of deeply charismatic and personal glue - even more so if you happen to have experienced most of 'em in your child days. In other words, they can be quite powerful (and I know it as a fact).

  • @102xxScorpionxx102 It's because videogames are also social experiences full of heart, mind and soul destined to construct deep emotional memories (even if mostly unconsciously) that songs such as this one are so potent. Videogames do not subtract life but make it richer, deeper and multifaceted instead.

  • @102xxScorpionxx102 Yes. Videogames are a LOT MORE than just modern/sophisticated ways to "waste your time". Videogames are able, for instance, to condense time and space into one single song that completely (and collectively) disharms us all at first glance.
