@aldeadelobispo Although the concept may be unoriginal (as are most concepts in music these days!) the song itself is a catchy and refreshing pop tune that makes you feel good! The point here isn't to be an intellectual lyric writing genius, it's to make music that's fun, catchy, and makes the listener feel good! You're being overly critical, methinks!

That's a silly thing to say! Just because telephone operators aren't widely used any longer, doesn't mean you can't write a catchy song about it! People write a lot of songs about things that are outdated. If it's relate-able and/or catchy, who cares! :) At least ONE person really enjoys this song (I know I do!) so it can't be all that terrible! :P

Seriously, how many songs have been made about telephone operators, trying to get through to a girl and all that jazz? This song -Elvis Costello/Ramones ripoffs aside- is remakably unoriginal and 25 years too late.
