CSX Coal train climbs Cranberry Grade to Terra Alta, WV in the snow during the winter of 1991-92 on the old West End of the Cumberland Division. Assisting SD60 helpers (In factory gray & blue) are later seen at Grafton "D" Tower

  • 3:00 you get to see why the grey CSX stealth paint scheme didnt catch on

  • Now this is what i call eastern mountain railroading. At least 6 EMDs struggling upgrade in run 8 with 10,000+ tons of loaded coal in snowy conditions. Can't ask for a better sound or scene then that

  • Friends of my family have a house in Altamont, Md. By the end of our first trip yhere, I had rediscovered Railfanning again.
